Selling your wine at auction
Valuation
The first thing to do is send a list of the wine you
wish to sell and I will evaluate
your wine for you with suggested reserve (minimum sale value) with low and high
price estimates of the wines.

For the fastest possible turn around, please send your list in a spreadsheet or

Reserves
Reserves are confidential, agreed upon in advance of the sale, and understood as
the minimum selling price. My aim is to achieve a fair market price for your wine.
You do not have to agree with the reserve price that I suggest, however, if it is
significantly different then I may ask you to pay a listing fee (refunded if the
wine achieves your reserve) .
Commission
Consignors pay a small selling commission that is deducted from the purchase or
hammer price. This charge is deducted only when the wine is sold and there is no
charge for items unsold (unless you have agreed to pay a listing fee). In addition
there is no minimum handling fee and the commission includes storage, insurance
(once in storage) and cataloguing. Please contact me to discuss the commission rate.
Delivery
If your wines are suitable for auction and you wish to sell, you will need to have
them delivered to our preferred storage company in Adelaide (Kennard's). When you
deliver your wines you will need to provide a detailed listing of all your wine.
I will inspect the wines at my earliest opportunity and issue you a receipt.
IMPORTANT:
DO NOT SHIP YOUR WINES IN HOT WEATHER AS HEAT EXPOSURE CAN DAMAGE YOUR WINE
Payment
You will receive payment in full within 30 days of the day of the sale.
Confidentiality
I take the confidentiality of my clients very seriously. All transactions are kept
strictly confidential. Unless compelled to by law, I will not disclose any personal
or business information to any outside party for any reason.
